Nijyumaru is a chain izakaya or a Japanese pub. They have multiple locations around Kanto and Kansai areas. While Nijyumaru is a Japanese pub, its menu features Japanese, Chinese and western food. The food was delicious and reasonably priced at about 1500 to 2000 jpy per person for supper. Because of the affordability, many office or friends gatherings choose to be held here, and it may get loud and rowdy.

In an izakaya, the meal is consist of many small dishes consumed with copious amount of alcohol. Often, an izakaya have a nomihoudai or all you can drink option. For my visit, we ordered the signature dish Sausage Pizza--pictured below--which was delicious. We also ordered izakaya staple such as grilled chicken, fried chicken, pickled eggplant, and so on. These were good and met our expectations.

Nijyumaru is located in a building on Chuo-dori, Akihabara's main thoroughfare, just north of the Mansei Bridge.
