Just opened in December 2009, MyStays Inn Asakusabashi is a brand new business hotel less than 1 minute away from JR Asakusabashi station. Part of the Weekly Mansion Tokyo chain, MyStays Inn Asakusabashi is a no frills business hotel in a superbly convenient location. While it lacks amenities like a restaurant, it makes it up with convenience features such as a free laundry facility and a convenience store on property. The main entrance is somewhat hidden. It is to the left and behind Lawson convenience store. Curiously, the hallways are exposed to the elements. Due to the close proximity to the train station, it is possible to hear platform announcements. I stayed in a 14 meters squared single room with a semi-double bed. The unit is much more roomier compared to Akihabara Washington Hotel and Tokyo Green Hotel Ochanomizu's 10 meters squared single rooms. The LCD television in the unit is setup to receive terrestrial and satellite digital broadcasts. There were no English channels. I throughly enjoyed my stay and the convenience of the property. Best of all, the average room charge for my 3 night stay was only 6000 JPY. Quite a bargain compared to what I paid for my previous stays. GalleryThese pictures are of a standard single room. AccessMyStays Inn Asakusabashi is 30 seconds from the west exit of the JR Asakusabashi station served by the Sobu line or 3 minutes from Asakusa line. Akihabara is 3 minutes away by train or 15 minutes away on foot. Shinjuku is 20 minutes away by train. Links
